Very interesting. I assume someone else actually drives the load on and off your trailer? Do you always carry the extra lumber that is under the various parts and on your extended side rails? How often do you replace chains? I've heard (somewhere, I forget) that they lose tensile strength (or something like that) without any obvious sign of wear. I know. Lots of questions, but I'm curious. Hope it continues to work well with the new company.
The answer is: It depends. I normally act "stupid" and pretend I don't know how to load. Most times it works and they do it for me. Some times it doesn't work and I load.
I've never heard of chains looseing tensile strength...I hope that's not right.
